The Kendriya Vidyalaya Anandapur one of the members of all Kendriya Vidyalayas, which are run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body formed by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi in 1965. These Vidyalayas are Co-Educational Vidyalaya which primarily caters to the educational needs of the children of Central Government employees including Defence personnel liable to frequent transfers throughout the country and floating population. The Kendriya Vidyalayas have a four – fold mission, viz. to cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education to pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education to initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indianness” among children.” The school’s mission is to prepare each student for academic, social and personal success by creating a community of empowered and diverse learners striving to be global citizens in natural atmosphere of mutual respect, understanding and trust.
